  • PHARMACY BOARD OF SIERRA LEONE MODERATION: SIERRA LEONE BREWERY OUTREACH ON THE TOPIC' 10 THINGS EVERY KID SHOULD KNOW ABOUT DRUGS'

    The Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone joined the Sierra Leone Brewery  Limited( part of the HEINEKEN company( SLBL) and Student Against Violence Everywhere Promise Club Sierra Leone ( SAVE -SL) to moderate a Drinking Prevention Workshop/Training Program titled 'Below 18-Zero Tolerance Against Alcohol. 

    Venue : Finn Memorial Hall of St Martin's Church Blackhall Road ( Opposite Benz Garage) by Up-Gun at 11:00 AM

    STAFF Representation: Pharmacist  Joseph Sesay and Pharmacist Intern Mariama Jalloh

    Key Information kids were provided with;

    Note : For 1 and 2 training materials used were provided by the Organiser and were validated and modified by the Pharmacy Professionals before use. Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone also provided supplemental information on Access to Medicines and Categories of Commonly Misused Over-The _ Counter Pharmaceutical Products

    f. People on drugs often make bad choices

    g. Adults can held you avoid drugs 

    h. You can say NO to drugs 

    i. It's ok to walk away 

    j. You've got better things to do than drugs

    a. Alcohol affects growing brains 

    b. Alcohol can kill 

    c. Alcoholism can start early 

    d. Drinking and driving is a real danger 

    e. Alcohol can affect school sports and other activities 

    f. Your teen can get into trouble with the law and so can the care-giver 

    g. Drinking has other risks too 

    h. The caregiver's example shapes the teen
