    1.      Promethazine Oral Solution

    2.      Kofexmalin Baby Cough Syrup

    3.      Makoff Baby Cough Syrup

    4.      Magrip n Cold Syrup

     

    C.      Manufacturer: Maiden Pharmaceuticals Limited ( Haryana India)

    D.     Issue with Medical Product

     -          Product contaminated with Diethylene Glycol and Ethylene Glycol  in unacceptable amounts 

    E.      DANGER presented by the contaminants Diethylene Glycol ( DEG) and Ethylene Glycol ( EG)

    -          These contaminants cause the following toxic effects : abdominal pain vomiting diarrhoaea inability to pass urine headache altered mental state and acute kidney injury which may lead to death 

    F.       Number of deaths already: 66 children
