    Pharmacy Board inspects Pharmaceutical premises at East End of Freetown* *Freetown 2nd March 2022*- The Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone has conducted a routine inspection exercise in pharmaceutical premises at Dan Street Black Hall Road New Castle Street Passonage Street and Kissy-by-pass Road. The routine inspection exercise according to the Senior Inspector who doubles as the Officer-In Charge of the Distribution Chain Inspection Department at the PBSL Tamba Buffa was focused on three main areas including the suitability documentation and products within the said premises. "With regards the premises we look for hygiene compliance ventilation and other best practices. We again assess to see whether the premises have current PBSL's licenses and if they have proper documentation system in place with regards correspondences that they receive from the Agency invoices or receipts of drugs that they procure. We as well check to know whether professionals of the premises display their licenses at a conspicuous place within same but to also ensure that premises keep to the right types of drugs that they were licensed to sell " He explained. He revealed that if the inspectors find any premises culpable they would retrieve the products and forward reports to the Registrar of PBSL for necessary actions.
